Press TV to run ‘A Cube of Sugar’ review session

Press TV network is scheduled to have ‘A Cube of Sugar’ film review session in a program titled Iran Cinema.

Directed by Reza Mirkarimi, ‘A Cube of Sugar’ will be reviewed in the upcoming episode of Iran Cinema on Thursday.

Iran Cinema is a PRESSTV-made program produced by Kianoush Altafi that goes on air Thursdays at 6:30 GMT.

It will repeat on Friday 13:50, Saturday 3:30 and Sunday 10:30, all GMT time.

Select Iranian award-winning movies will be reviewed in the program.

On the previous episode of the show ‘The Color of God’ went under scrutiny. 

‘A Cube of Sugar’ is a 2011 Iranian drama film featuring Reza Kianian, Farhad Aslani, Rima Raminfar, Negar Javaheriyan and Amir-Hossein Arman.

Late acclaimed auteur Abbas Kiarostami designed one of the posters that was used to promote the movie.  

‘A Cube of Sugar’ had its world premiere at the Busan International Film Festival on October 8, 2011.

On September 24, 2012, it was selected as the Iranian entry for the Best Foreign Language Oscar at the 85th Academy Awards.
